What “products that may help” means
When we mention or recommend a product, we mean it may be a good fit based on its specs, features, price point, and how well it seems suited to small-space living — not that it’s guaranteed to be the single best option on the market for every reader. Small spaces vary a lot, and so do budgets and needs.
How we choose picks
Our picks are based on publicly available information: product specifications, dimensions, materials, price, and features relevant to small-space use (like stackability, foldability, or wall-mounting options). We look for products that solve a specific problem — limited floor space, no drilling allowed, tight closets, and similar constraints.
Product placement in our articles is never paid for. Being an Amazon, Wayfair, Target, or IKEA affiliate partner does not influence which products we choose to mention — see our Affiliate Disclosure for how those partnerships work financially.
On hands-on testing
We only describe a product as something we’ve “tested,” “tried,” or used “hands-on” when we have genuinely purchased, set up, or lived with that product ourselves. If an article doesn’t make that claim, assume our mention is based on research and specifications rather than personal use.
We think this distinction matters, and we won’t blur it for the sake of a more persuasive-sounding article.
